TOP-LOCK®Locking principle
TOP-LOCK® washer is made from two identical gaskets and the outside of each with radial repousse,inside for helical surface. The unique inside of helical surface’s angle of inclination αof TOP-LOCK® washer is bigger than the bolt thread tilt angle β. When assembling, the inside of the helical surfaces are relative and the coefficient of friction of the outside knurled surface of the washer is more higher than the coefficient of friction of the cam surface ,and the ends of the interfaces are in occlusal status. When the joints are affected by vibrations and bolt looseness trend occurs , it will only allow relative movement between two slices of gasket inside helical, raising tension. Unique teeth system using the tension in the joint of fastening produces a high resistance to vibration.
